Zermatt Unplugged News for 2021 and 2022
Due to the Covid-19, the festival in April 2021 is cancelled.
They have announced Zermatt Unplugged Summer Weekends in July 2021, and the ordinary festival will be back 5 – 10 April 2022.
More About Zermatt Unplugged Festival
A festival held in one of the most famous winter tourism destinations.
It was founded in 2007, and over the years, it became one of the most influential festivals of this kind of music in this part of Europe.
Since it was launched, headliners have been OneRepublic, Alanis Morissette, Billy Idol, Suzanne Vega, Mando Diao, and many more.
Locations and Venues
Zermatt Unplugged is at several venues/stages, and they all usually present around 50 – 60 performers.
The most important stages are the Marquee stage, the Club Vernissage, the Mont Cervin Palace, the Sunnegga Sessions, and the cabin at the Matterhorn glacier ski area – more than 3000 meters above sea level!
This festival is an opportunity to visit one of Switzerland’s finest ski resorts, followed by fantastic music and an atmosphere.
It’s unique, charming and it will probably make you return because it has this “wow” factor.
Grand Hotel Zermatterhof
You can find real style and heritage at the Grand Hotel Zermatterhof, one of the originals.
It’s been providing luxury accommodation since 1879.
The Omnia Hotel
The Omnia is quite different in many ways; you access it via a tunnel leading to an elevator that takes you into the lobby area.
This hotel’s elevated position on a rock 150 metres above Zermatt means you can enjoy fabulous views.
