The Great British Beer Festival in London
A tasty exploring adventure is known as the UK’s biggest beer festival.
Organised by the Campaign for Real Ale, the festival offers visitors the chance to try more than 1000 beers, ciders and perries.
The Great British Beer festival features over 350 British breweries at 27 different bars, followed by fantastic entertainment, food and traditional pub games – all this in the heart of London.
GBBF Venue
The Great British Beer Festival is in the Olympia exhibition centre in London.
It is easily accessible by public transportation and has the capacity of hosting over 50.000 visitors.
It consists of two halls – the larger named Olympia Grand and the slightly smaller – Olympia National.
Both places will include several bars serving hundreds of breweries and brewery bars for trying both well-known beers and limited editions.
Beer lovers who are fans of international bottled and draught beers will be able to try the ones from the Czech Republic, Belgium, Germany, and the hugely popular American Cask bar.
Getting there
By train: Olympia London is the only venue in the British capital with a dedicated rail station – Kensington Olympia.
There are also six tube stations nearby, all within walking distance: West Kensington – 10 minutes, Barons Court – 10 minutes, Hammersmith – 12 minutes, Shepherd’s Bush – 13 minutes, High Street Kensington – 15 minutes and Goldhawk Road – around 20 minutes.
If coming by bus is more appropriate for you, you should look for the following busses that stop within a short walking distance: number 9, 10, 27, 28, 49 and 391.
