Strasbourg Christmas Markets

One of the Best European Christmas Market

Strasbourg Christmas Markets has almost 500 years of tradition, this is one of “the hottest” Christmas markets destination in Europe, and it all started in 1570. At that time, it was called “Christkindelsmärik”.

Since then, the city continued with the tradition, giving its visitors the charm of a warm and authentic place you need to visit during the winter holidays.

This place is even called “Strasbourg, the capital of Christmas”.

A hot tip is to take the Strasbourg Christmas Market tour with a local guide.

Strasbourg Christmas Markets

Magic spread over 11 sites in the centre of the city — some last until New Years’ Evening.

Arts and crafts, the best food and traditional and beautiful, typical Alsatian Christmas decorations will be hosted in some of the following places:

The primary and majestic Christmas tree stands each year in Kléber, in the very centre of Strasbourg.
