In 2021 San Sebastian Jazz Festival has gone on for 56 years, and has during those years become a world famous International Jazz Festival.
Heineken Jazzaldia, is the official name and is in honour to the brewery which sponsors the event.

Popular venues of San Sebastian Jazz Festival are Trinidad Square in the Old Town, Peine del Viento and the Kursaal Palace near the Kursaal bridge.
But, the best venue is the Green Stage in the heart of Zurriola Beach.
Here you find thousands of spectators gather on the sand, bringing their food and drink to enjoy the music for free.

San Sebastian is a beautiful Basque city in the north of Spain along the Bay of Biscay.
In 2016 it was declared European Capital of Culture.
This does not really come as a surprise, because San Sebastian is a center of culture and food tourism as well as a popular seaside resort.

Pinxos, gourmet-food and San Sebastian can of course be enjoyed all year around.
It can be hectic and big crowds during the festivals, so if you want it more tranquil and romantic, it can be a good choice to visit San Sebastian other weeks.
