It is the biggest bluegrass event in Europe,
Rotterdam Bluegrass Festival gathers over ten thousand visitors every year.
Traditional bluegrass bands from all over Europe, USA, Australia, and New Zealand perform on their stage during these three days.
Other music styles are presented, such as rock’n’roll, country, country-blues, rockabilly, hillbilly, ragtime, jazz, and even some heavy metal and punk.
Of course, the festival is not just about the music.
There is a wide variety of activities and entertainment, such as workshops, exhibitions, underground comics, and jam sessions.
The choice of food and drinks on the market is exquisite: hot dogs, brown fries, chicken stew, vegan stew, meat, and salads are sold from multiple stands and trucks.
The prices are affordable, and the entrance to the Rotterdam Bluegrass festival is free of charge.
The festival takes place in Rotterdam-Noord, at several venues around the Pijnackerplein, the town square.

However, it is better to come by bicycle or public transport as the parking space is limited.
