Rock Werchter – Pop and Rock Festival

30 June – 3 July 2022

About Rock Werchter

Werchter, Belgium, is home to a 4-day pop and rock festival.

The venue is just outside of the town, and its large main arena is surrounded by three large campsites, split into 17 smaller sections.

Rock Werchter is a massive international festival providing three stages.

The Main Stage, Klub C and The Barn.

Performers from many different genres will bring some of the best music these four days.

Food

Gone are the days where all you could get in the way of food was hot dogs, hamburgers and fries.

These days there is a wide choice available, from healthy salads to the first mussels of the season.

Camping

Camping is a great way to maximise your festival experience.

You can pitch your tent at the regular camping or book a spot at The Hive Resort.

There you’ll find a ready-pitched tent – or a tee-pee or a lodge if that’s more your thing – waiting for you along with all the other outstanding facilities.

How to get there

Werchter lies in the centre of Belgium and is easy to reach, being only 30 kilometres from Brussel and 15 kilometres from Leuven.

Public transport is the easiest and most convenient way to reach the festival park located on the Haachtsesteenweg, Werchter.

There is a shuttle bus service running to and from the festival site from the Leuven railway station.

A bonus is that each e-festival ticket allows you to download one free e-train ticket for use on public transport (train/festival shuttle bus) in Belgium.

For full details check the information on the festival website.

More about Belgium

As well as being the international headquarters of the European Union and NATO, Belgium’s capital, Brussels, is a centre of art and design.

The ornate and opulent Grand Place (Grote Markt) is worth seeing.

So are also the trendy bars and restaurants with their great food and a large assortment of beer.

It’s a small country and cities are easily accessible, so it’s an excellent opportunity to visit the medieval old towns with Flemish Renaissance architecture.
