Ribs and Blues occur annually during the Whitsun / Pentecost weekend in the Netherlands.
A prominent blues and roots festival attracting over 50,000 visitors.
An event for young and old, there’s a great atmosphere with entertainment for the whole family.
There will be playgrounds, Kids Adventureland, international street performers, and a festival market set up in tiny houses built in the style of the US Old South.
And as the name implies, there are many juicy spareribs to eat.

WestCord Hotel Salland is in a rustic setting on a historic farm set in beautiful countryside yet within walking distance of the centre of Raalte.
Getting to Ribs and Blues
If you’re coming from Schiphol Airport Amsterdam, you can take a train directly from the airport.
To get to Raalte, you’ll need to change trains at Zwolle, and the total journey will take one and a half hours.
If you come by car, parking is available in the town, which is a short walk from the festival terrain.
During the festival, shuttle buses used to go from Deventer in the south and Zwolle in the north.
