Enjoy the evening and night at Berlin’s big New Year’s celebration !!!
The world’s largest New Year celebration is in Berlin.
The highlight is the big show and concert with famous artists at the Brandenburg Gate, held annually on 31 December.
With over one million people in the crowd, Berlin is among the best places to be this night.
Famous international artists perform all evening.
At midnight, the sky lit up with fireworks above the ordinary.
Over 60,000 rockets wand up within 15 minutes.
The concert concludes with one or two more artists and ends around 1 o’clock.
A worth-seeing event and a fantastic experience for anyone who likes music and folk festivals.
One tip is to visit Berlin around Christmas, or some days between Christmas and New Year’s Eve, to see a couple of all Christmas markets.
Some of them are open until 31 December.
Start the last afternoon of the year with a visit to the beautiful Christmas Market at Gendarmenmarkt. From here, it’s only a 15-minute walk to Brandenburg Gate.
They also have their New Year’s Eve Silvester party at Gendarmenmarkt, which is worth checking out, but the NYE show and celebration at Brandenburger Tor may be the best alternative.
Hotels and Accommodation
If you want a good hotel, book well in advance to prepare for Europe’s biggest New Year’s Eve party.
As for the Christmas markets in the city centre, we recommend staying at Alexanderplatz in the central location, plus it is well connected with the S and U-Bahn to the other needs I’ve mentioned on the Christmas Markets page.
You may prefer to stay closer to the Brandenburger Gate, and there are also many good hotels to choose from in that area.
