About Montreux Jazz Festival
Montreux Jazz Festival is one of the best jazz festivals in Europe, without a doubt.
It was founded in 1967 and became an event annually, attracting a quarter of a million people.
Although it’s the festival that celebrates jazz music, Montreux has implemented other styles of music as well, so there’s always something on the spot for all blues and rock fans.
Performers who have visited Montreux Jazz Festival throughout history are proving its significance.
Some names are Miles Davis, Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Nina Simone, Marvin Gaye, and David Bowie.

There are five free stages in addition to the nine rooms at the Lake House.
The hottest names and concerts will be on the paid venues; Auditorium Stravinski and the Montreux Jazz Lab.
Two hundred fifty thousand festival-goers, a massive programme of concerts and lots of them are free, many bars and stands.
