Raise a glass or three for the biggest beer festival in Northern England where a vast and tasty selection from breweries in the Greater Manchester area are on offer.
Organizers have deemed their town to be the “cask capital of Britain.”
More than 750 assorted beers and ciders are available (contributing to more than 62,000 pints downed).
Local street food vendors are also on hand to help you match the ale with scrumptious nosh.
Enjoy tutored tastings with beer experts, peruse and buy some beer memorabilia, books or pub games and wile away your afternoon and evening.
Entry prices are (2018 prices) :
Thursday: £4 + £3 glass hire (refundable)
Friday: £7 + £3 glass hire (refundable)
Saturday 27th: £7 + £3 glass hire (refundable)
Accompanied children will be admitted free and may remain until 7pm daily.
Senior citizens, Armed Forces (including British Legion), Emergency Services Personnel, NHS Staff, Full Time Students with valid identification all get £1 off all sessions. Max one discount per entry.

Manchester Beer Festival glasses will be available in 2 sizes: 2/3 pint (with 1/3, 1/2 pint lines) and 1 pint (with 1/3, 1/2 & 1 pint lines).
You may keep your glass as a souvenir or return it to the glasses stand on exit for a refund.
The festival requires that all drinks be served into lined glasses showing the CE mark.
Drinks may not be served into unmarked glasses, tankards or other containers.
If you bring your own glass, make sure it is lined and carries the CE mark.
As well, there will be a selection of gluten free beers in cask and bottle and a few non-alcoholic beers available on the German / Belgian bar.
And for those with a sweet tooth: hand made all- natural sodas from local producer Steep Soda.
