From 1998, when it was launched, this festival has been one of the leading Arab arts and culture events in Liverpool, and the UK.
Liverpool Arabic Centre and the Bluecoat, the founders, has grown the partnerships over the years and included major arts institutions in the city into the event.
The aim is to make celebratory events of raising awareness and promotion of Arabic culture in Liverpool, and in the UK.
Liverpool Arab Arts Festival got the Arab British Centre’s Culture and Society Award in 2010.
For an outstanding contribution to the public knowledge and understanding of life, society and culture of the Arab people in Britain.
Events on Liverpool Arab Arts Festival are usually placed into 6 categories:
Music, Film and Theatre, Dance, Talks and Debates, Family and Outdoor and Exhibitions.
Family activities, followed by excellent food, music and art, featured with DJ’s or jazz performers.
