Kookeet Food Festival, Bruges
This culinary food festival includes 3 sumptuous days of cooking challenges and chowing down with more than two dozen of the top chefs from the ‘Venice of the North’ – Bruges/Brugge.
There is, almost guaranteed, at least a few Michelin star chefs among the group.
Besides the requisite gourmet dishes, you can choose from vegetarian options and quaff some fine bubbly at the Champagne Bar.
Food & Drink Tent Village
A tent village sprouts up next to Bruges’ main train station.
You can go into the village for free and payment for food and drink is done by a preloaded card.
Everything is very well organized and you can buy small dishes to sample lots of different flavors and styles.

Places to stay and Hotel Tips
Located in the historic centre and a 15-minutes walk to the main train station, this delightful hotel has original wooden beams and a luxurious decor.

Besides strolling its various market squares, be sure to take a gander at the the sky-high brick spire of the Church of Our Lady and Michelangelo’s sculpture of Madonna and Child.
The town’s most famous landmark, though, is its 13th-century belfry with a carillon of 48 bells.
