Whet your appetite with more than 150 events at this foodie paradise.
Connoisseurs and the food curious are all welcome with dining and cooking action bursting out from all parts of this Swiss City.
Everything is proffered: from street food to regular dinner food to haute cuisine.
Take your pick of fooking courses, workshops or tasting sessions.
More than 50 restaurateurs will be on hand to tempt you with their delicious creations while more than 40 food stalls will fill your brain with the latest in food information and also your tummy with regional specialties.
This marks only the 3rd year for Food Zurich which celebrates the unique foods of the surrounding region of Zurich as well as Switzerland.
The festival welcomes more than 60,000 visitors during its 11-days.
It features more than 400 culinary innovators, food producers, retailers and restaurateurs.
As well, organizers promise a slate of “wild cooks” and trends from around the globe.
A marquee event comes at the end, on the Sunday, at Zurich’s Engrosmarkt, the largest fish market in the country.
That’s when the festival serves up its Market and Brunch with coffee brewers and craft bakers offering their edible wares to be paired with brunch noshes from around the world.

The Alexander, located in Zurich’s Old Town, is an excellent boutique-style hotel that’s central for exploration, shopping and museums.
Zurich has excellent local transportation that includes trains, trams, buses.
Tickets cover all modes of transport within the Zurich network.

Night buses and trains run Friday and Saturday nights after hours.

The Zurich Card includes unlimited travel on all public transport, including discounts around the city and free entrance to most of Zurich’s museums.
Several other travel passes: Half-Fare pass, Junior pass, GA pass and day passes.
Zurich Hauptbahnhof, the main train station, has a continuous train service connecting destinations throughout Switzerland and Europe, as well as suburban S-Bahn trains covering the Zurich region.
Boats regularly depart from Bürkliplatz at the ZSG offices, and take both short and long trips around the lake.
