6 – 8 August 2021
A visit to a Foodies Festival is a fun day out for the whole family.
Edinburgh is home of the original Foodies Festival and it once again hosts this three day culinary food festival in August:
The month of festivals in Edinburgh.
The first festival was held in 2006.
Since then Edinburgh local and festival founder, Sue Hitchen, has gone on to launch more Foodies Festivals across the UK.
The festivals are celebrations of food and drink offering the visitor a vast array of culinary delights and activities.
You’ll have the chance to meet and mingle with the local foodie community as they work alongside Michelin star and top chefs, bakers, patisserie chefs, chocolatiers, restaurateurs, artisan producers, distillers and brewers.
It’s a true social event where the visitor has the option to visit a variety of theatres.
There’s the Chef’s Theatre, where top chefs give cooking demonstrations, a Tasting Theatre, a BBQ Arena, a Children’s Cookery Theatre, Cake and Bake Theatre, Vintage Tea Tent, Feasting Tent, AGA Rangemaster and a Cook School to name just a few.
Your ticket provides access to all.
Vegans and vegetarians won’t be disappointed with plenty of vegetarian and vegan fare available for tasting.
There will also be vegan cooking demonstrations held in the Chef’s Theatre.
The Drink’s Theatre is the place to head if you want to sample wine, champagne and craft beer, or partake in a Wine & Champagne Masterclasses.
Chill out by the entertainment stage which features plenty of music acts throughout the festival – many unsigned – to get you stomping your feet and moving to the beat.
The festival ethos is one of creativity, positivity and fun, with a focus on developing skills and being true to yourself.
