About Fiesta del Albariño
Fiesta del Albariño is a wine festival celebrating the renowned locally-produced white wine, Albariño.
It’s been a Festival of National Tourist Interest since 1977, but the wine has only gained international prominence in the last decade.
The celebrations commence in the main square of the historic centre of charming Cambados when the bagpipes announce the opening of the wine-tasting stands.
Throughout the Fiesta del Albariño, you’ll be entertained by concerts, theatre, and parades.
To keep the little ones entertained, there are special workshops.
Albariño is a lovely light and dry wine that goes particularly well with seafood.
Due to the vineyards’ proximity to the coast, it is often called ‘the wine of the sea’.

Cambados is a coastal town in the northwest of Spain.
The closest international airports in Spain are Vigo and Santiago de Compostela.
Porto, Portugal, is approximately 190 kilometres south.
