Food & Drink, Music and Entertainments
Fete du Roi de l’Oiseau first started in 1986.
The festival always launches with a symphony of Renaissance music on the first day.
Besides the requisite roadside stalls and street performers, you can purchase tickets for the “bird lottery”.
One lucky winner will get a voucher worth €80, valid for products on sale at the stalls of Renaissance market merchants.
Take a gander at the dance balls that sprout daily, witness the old wrestling rituals, watch the theatrics of “The Enigma of Coquillards”, and finish it with a Sunday parade.
Be sure not to miss the majestic ceremony of the crowning of the new king – you must reserve seats at the auditorium, which has 800 places.
Check the Fete du Roy de l’Oiseau website for all details.
