This Christmas market is naturally charming, with the castle as a background.
Fancy decorations are everywhere, and it all gives a very cosy atmosphere.
There is a large selection of craft and delicate trinkets in the numerous stalls.
A plus is that you can go into the heated tents and continue shopping there if it is cold, and it often is in December.
From here, you can go with U7 to the Spandau Christmas market, which used to be the largest Christmas market in Berlin.
If you want to go back to the centre of Berlin, there are busses right outside the castle entrance.
Alternatively you can take the S-bahn from Westend station to West Kreutz and switch to S75 – S5 – S7 or that takes you to Alexanderplatz.
