Ribs and Blues takes place in the Netherlands during the Whitsun / Pentecost weekend every year. A large blues and roots festival attracting over 50,000 visitors. An event for young and old, there’s a great atmosphere with entertainment for the whole family. Playgrounds, Kids Adventureland, international street performers and a festival market set up in small houses built in the style of the US old south. And as the name implies, lots of juicy spareribs to eat.

Where to stay during Ribs and Blues?
WestCord Hotel Salland is in a rustic setting on a historic farm set in beautiful countryside yet within walking distance of the center of Raalte.
It has great facilities including free parking, free WiFi, cable TV, free tea and coffee making facilities, and restaurant with bar.
Getting to Ribs and Blues
If you’re coming from Schiphol Airport Amsterdam, you can take a train direct from the airport.
To get to Raalte, you’ll need to change trains at Zwolle and the total journey will take one and half hours.
If you come by car, parking is available in the town a short walk from the festival terrain.
During the festival, shuttle buses use to go from Deventer in the south and Zwolle in the north.
