Budapest Wine Festival
– it takes place in September and is one of the most prestigious festivals in Hungary.
Tens of thousands of people visit it annually, all with the same aim, exploring the wine culture of Hungary and other countries.
Tastings usually take place in iconic city buildings such as the terraces of the Buda Castle, followed by a presentation of things to try and see in this beautiful city.
Presenters from up to 200 wine cellars from 15 countries and around 60 cultural programs.
It’s worth mentioning that Hungary is famous for its wines, so choosing this country for the offer of wines is a real deal for all lovers of this ancient drink.
The venue – magnificent Buda Castle, situated on the western bank of the river Danube, with its stunning views – is a factor that makes this whole festival even more exciting and attractive for visitors.
We’ve mentioned a rich cultural program – and Budapest Wine Festival yearly includes many kinds of exhibitions, workshops and lectures, dancing shows and many more.
Organisers invite you to try tastes of Hungary – packed in around 140 grape varieties from more than 20 historic wine regions.
Their wine routes help all guests explore as many flavours as possible during the festival.
