Launched in 1993 and each year, Bergenfest has acts of best performers in several genres – from American blues to electro, hip-hop, R&B, folk and more.
The festival was voted twice for the year’s festival by the Norwegian Rock Festival Council and twice got the prize of honour from the Tourist Board of the city of Bergen for contributing to an excellent presentation of Bergen in Europe and the world.
The festival’s venue is a breathtaking and scenic area of Bergenhus Fort, and the main arena can receive almost 7000 people.
Each year, Bergenfest has 35 – 40 thousand people visiting, and it’s one of the best Scandinavian open-air festivals.
