Either way, it works for us!

Summer sunshine, dancing in the streets, live music, and special activities for the little ones make this festival one not to miss.

The brewers come from far and near, with national and international brewers present.

And in between tastings, you can pop down to the beach for a refreshing dip in the sea.

This beer festival in Barcelona promises to deliver tons of fun!

Choco-Story and Chocolate Museum in Bruges

Choco-Story and Chocolate Museum in Bruges

BOOK HOTEL IN BRUGES THINGS TO DO IN BRUGES

Belgium, Bruges is known for its chocolate production, so it’s not surprising that the city has a chocolate museum!

The Chocolate Museum in Bruges is called Choco-Story, and as you may imagine from the name, it does, of course, chart the history of chocolate and how it found its way to the streets and stores of Europe and Belgium.

The museum is quite interesting, even if you’re not a chocolate lover.

You can read the story of how vital the cocoa trade was. We take chocolate for granted now, but cocoa had great value and was considered a luxury years ago.

There’s even a movie to watch on the history of chocolate. Then, after the circular walk, you walk into a room where you can see a demonstration on how to make chocolates.

They give these demonstrations twice an hour, lasting approximately half an hour each.

The great thing is, at the end of the demonstration, everyone gets a taste of the beautiful Belgian chocolate.

Belgian chocolate is world famous, and although the price is relatively high (ca. 35 Euro per kilogram), it is worth the cost for high quality.

You’ll notice a big difference between the taste of Belgian chocolate and the cheaper ones we eat more regularly.

Link: Choco-Story website

In the same building as the chocolate museum, you’ll also find the Lamp Museum, which could be an exciting place to visit.

belgia_chocolate
After you’ve visited Choco-Story, take a walk around the streets of Bruges.

You’ll notice there are many small chocolate shops, and most of them make the chocolate on-site that they sell.

They will even let you sample a taste or two.

Stuttgart Wine Festival Weindorf, 17 August – 4 September 2022

Stuttgarter Weindorf – a paradise for all wine lovers

17 August – 4 September 2022

BOOK HOTEL FOR THIS EVENT Things to do in Stuttgart - Tours and Sightseeings

weindorf_festival_stuttgart

About Stuttgarter Weindorf

Stuttgarter Weindorf is attracting people from all of Germany, Europe and even other continents to experience a uniquely peaceful and cosy atmosphere and, of course, the best wines and food from this district of Germany.

The festival area is packed with people every evening, so you better be early to get a good seat.

The evenings bring a pleasant atmosphere with the surroundings and sound of wining and talking people.

There is more space in earlier afternoons, and you can more easily go around and see what the different stands have to offer.

A long tradition that goes back a thousand years and an outstanding mild climate with ideal conditions produce some of the country’s best wines each year.

Weindorf was an idea made of small, local guesthouses run by winegrowers who served its wine products with homemade and traditional food.

So, the first festival gets birth from that idea in 1976.

It immediately became extremely famous – and visited by tourists, families, students and managers.

Good food, chocolates and wine

A few words about the food, as well.

On Stuttgarter Weindorf, you’ll find around 30 open-air restaurants and specialities from the region, including 500 local wines from Baden.

Some stands serve sweet delicacies and chocolates.

This festival has it all – tradition, quality and great atmosphere.

And that’s the best recommendation for visiting this beautiful German city in late August.

The location is in the city centre of Stuttgart – Marktplatz, Schillerplatz, Kirchstraße.

Exciting food and drinks from different African countries, as well as music concerts every night.

Many sales stalls with clothes, crafts and souvenirs to buy something exotic from.

An interesting fact is that Africa is so big that China, India, USA and most of Europe would fit in on this big continent.

Hotel tips at Alexanderplatz

To get rooms at the best hotels for big events like this is, as usual, to book well in advance.

The Kenako Africa Festival is at Alexanderplatz, so it´s a good idea to stay there, so you are close to the town centre and festival at the same time.
