About Zurich Beer Festival
Zurich Beer Festival, also known as Zurich Beer Week, will take place between 3 – 5 September 2020.
It was first planned to be in April, but because of the Corona virus the dates has changed.
The creators of the festival announce that their goal is to promote different types of beer but leave the guests an opportunity to choose the winner.
The focus is placed on tasting as much different kinds of beer as possible.
Great music and a variety of food trucks are here to help this goal.
Every visitor of the festival gets a special beer tasting glass.
At every stand you only get one deciliter of beer, which allows you to taste many kinds of beer and not get drunk.
It’s all about quality here, not quantity.
You can return the glass at the exit or keep it to yourself – it’s totally up to you.
For the entrance fare of 25 CHF you can try 50 different kinds of beer.
What makes the festival special and different from other beer festivals around Europe?
Switzerland has actually more breweries per capita nowadays, than any other country in the world.
The amount of small craft breweries grows every year.
The famous Lager kind of beer, known all over the world, was born right here, in the heart of Europe.
Of course, the festival is not just about beer tasting.
Numerous workshops are usually held during the festival days, helping you to get to know the beer industry better.
You can also buy some beer souvenirs to bring home, such as Beer Shirts, tasting glasses and more.
