Every July, people from all over France (and Europe) comes to see the transformation of the city Cordes into a place from the Middle Ages.
With all kinds of entertaining things – costumes, music and dance, falconry – all appropriate for the stated time age.
Grand Fauconnier is a two days festival in middle of July.
This two days you can watch jugglers, street performers, knights and dancers; listen to the music of that time; participate in plays, banquets and costumed street parade throughout the city.
What’s interesting is that the whole city really travels through time during the Grand Fauconnier festival.
Each and every segment is “colored” with that unique Middle Age atmosphere.
Residents, artists and spectators are all dressed in medieval costumes.
Activities that are shown are different workshops, bookbinding, medieval games, men at arms, medieval builders, fire eaters and different parades.
You can buy exciting things at the medieval market square.
