The Christmas markets in Europe are a popular and nice tradition.
Most of the German cities and small villages has at least one.
The tradition has spread all over the continent and you can now find a Christmas market in almost any city around Europe.
Berlin Chrismas Markets among the favourites
Berlin’s over 50 Christmas markets in the month before Christmas is one of the most visited cities this time of year.
My favourite Christmas Markets in Europe, after Berlin, are Vienna and Hamburg.
It is recommended to stay at least one weekend in those bigger cities as there are so many different Christmas markets to explore.

Gendarmenmarkt Christmas market is maybe the most beautiful and famous in Berlin. Nicely between the German and French Church.
